i sent out my chip to powerchip and needless to say anyone who knows anything about the company, customer service is unreal... istalled it the second i got it. was a little nervouse about malfunctions that has happened to 1 or 2 people that was reported but it when i turned the key nothing appeared.. i noticed right away the exhaust was a little bit louder and the engine sounded a little different.. took it for a test run... 1st and secound gear difference was easily noticable i couldnt beleave it the car just takes off compared to what it did before... i didnt really get to test 3rd out on the streets so i took it to the highway and had open road all the way to downtown bk.. first off i must say the car itself has amazing high speed stability... now for 3rd gear... 3rd gear is a noticably faster too i couldnt beleave it... to make sure it wasnt all in my head i raced a friend of mine who by 60 we would be almost neck and neck now he give up after shift into 2nd gear and says to me something must be wrong with his car.. after 2 days of making him think there was something wrong i finally told him what i did.. oh and the speed limiter is removed i went 138mph and i beleave its suppose to be governed at 130.. it seems as if every day it sounds a bit louder and gets a little bit faster i only put 75 miles on the car with the chip but still no signs of malfunctions... the response in drive and or left in gear when on part throttle theres no comparing the factory chip to this one its like a whole new engine... money well spent in my eyes...

ok....don't wanna start a flammin session...and hope you are telling the truth and you are a legit enthusiast....but this is kind of weired....our forum has been down for a week....during this time i call power chip and explain my concern regarding the ESP problem and where i have seen it (on our forum) .....first day our forum is up we got a a newbie "First Post" and its right after my Powerchip problem post saying you have isntalled the Power Chip and have no problems....?!!!! could be true...but sounds fishy....do you have any pictures of your car? have you done a before after dyno? what octane fuel you are using? and you have the 4-matic....i geuss the engin management is the same but i don't see any chips specifically for the 320 4 matic...i see the chip for regular 320....which perhaps would work....

i hope you are legit but if this is someone from powerchip being phony its bad business

i dont appreciate any sceptisism so if you want my address is 1654 Coleman street brooklyn n.y. 11234 and ill will take you for a drive anytime..... number 2 i am a newbie but i posted that i was ordering my power chip before the bored went down.... people informed me about the problems but they were not on a 320 they were on the 230's... if you want to call and talk about it call 718-252-1290 ask for nick... and no they dont have one specifically for the 4-matic they said the chip works the same for both.... and it did without any errors so far.. if any come i will update them... you can also check on the customer testimonial section on powerchips web site and see what i wrote its under nick z

forgot to answer some of your questions i am running 93 octane... no i have not done a before and after dyno i think if you spend 990$ on something you should be able to feel the difference i dont care about numbers if i dont feel the difference it isnt worth it to me... i do not have any pics of my car on my comp but if a picture of the car is gonna make you beleave the car is faster and the chip works ill post it as soon as possible... also if there is any more sceptisism i will not be replying to it because i want to enjoy my purchase and new addition of performance to my car not have it shot down by people that have had misfortune with the same company.. maybe theres a bug or 2 in previous experiences however there is more satisfied customers than not judgeing fromt there testimonials that is.. power chip has worked for many people and when they can fix the problems that have occured they will.. if any information regarding performance or installation or anything is needed feel free...

What was the condition of your ECU when you got it back from PC?

Also, what's your rate on a 30 year refi w/ no points?

the ecu looked the same as if i had not done anything to it i didnt really take a good look at it to tell teh truth but i think there was one point that looked a little un soddered and looked like there was a little bit of glue there but it was a minor spot...

as for the 30 year fixed.. everyone always wants no points they want us to refi them for free LOL.... however i can do it with a rate of 5.875 of course credit and income must qualify with a fica score of about 620...

too bad there not in the 4's but the rates are only going to go up from now.. the economy is building itself up again...

YEAH I KNOW.... heres what dosnt make much sense to me but is my benefit... you would think they can increase a supercharged engine more than a N/A engine.. yet the 1.8 gets 18 additional hp and 19 tq and the 320 gets 23hp and 25 tq....
it was worth every penny...

they claim there is no way to identify the computer was installed in your car therefore it cannot void your warrenty...
however if anything should go wrong with your chip they will replace to factory setting and refund your money

Sounds great, congrads man. Okay you spent $990.00 do you think it was worth it? I know you don't have statictical data but in your honest opinion how much faster and would you reccommend it?

Sorry more questions, was there any difficulty installing it? Did you have to take it by the Service center to recognize it?

the newer the year the easier to install and no it wasnt very difficult but heres a tip before you uninstall your ecu make sure you get your winshield wiper blade to stay up all the way up if there down your gonna fight with the rods that activate the blades to get it out... yes i feel it was definately worth the money but you must get the 93 gold because i dont know how the performance is with any other... honest opinion well you can check my testimonial on power chips site but as for performance id say .4 to 60 waste more gas on full throttle save some on part throttle

my appologize will delete that reply my misunderstanding... i thought you were talking about the results not the price... well thats my fault because i did not research how cheap i could get it for through different places but thats what it was posted for on there web site so i didnt argue or know at the time of a cheaper place... however the job was done rite so im happy as for the money well maybe youll be able to tell me a good place when i order something else...

im not saying anything bad about the brand.... but my friend did it to his e320. basically all it does is raise the rpm red line so you can go to like 6500 rpms and it raises the point at where you shift gears. also it gives a better throttle response.

the reason i didnt find it worth it to do this is cuz if i wanted my car to switch gears at a higher rpm then all i need to do is floor it.

it seems pretty reliable though from what i see cuz there is nothing wrong with my friends car. also he did get the powerchip for free as a demo.

thats wierd my RPM's have not changed at!!!! only in second gear maybe 2 or 300 rpms but im not feeling power at redline all the power is before redline...

It advances the timing (therefore requiring 93 octane in the gold pkg).

So, it's a little different than you just pegging the gas.
