2001 c240 rear sam replace question

2001 c240 rear sam replace question
all 3 brakelights on. removed rear sam. notice scorching on the 2 yellow relays and one of the wiring harnesses had a pin loose and you could see the plastic melted away a bit. jump start drama...
part # 002 545 97 01 , hw build 3500, sw build 2600
in looking at used ones on ebay - how do i know which are compatible? i have not seen one with the same hw/sw builds, what's anyones advice? my guess is go for a higher hw/sw build but not lower???
my safety inspection is overdue, i can't put this off much longer. hey - and anyone with a good wrecking yard or partslocater service i'd take that advice too!

bump...any suggestions on wrecking yards? i responded to one of the web partslocator sites and it went nowhere. all the sams on ebay at the moment are 203 545 47 01. while i assume this is a compatible part, i am not sure... plus, reprogramming costs.
