I'm pretty sure it's not PS fluid - there are no leaks in the PS system I know of.
The reason why I suspect it's old ATF is because it's very similar to the colour of the old fluid they drained during my tranny job.
Keeping this car going is basically putting out one fire after another.

So it's been a few weeks since the last oil change, and I've lost 0.4L of engine oil over 1000 km. This is seriously maddening. Starting to suspect the rear main seal again, though there are no puddles underneath the car at all. Just a wet patch (but not enough to crate a puddle) on that underbody plastic panel. Thoughts?

That's a lot of oil ... I am changing oil at 6k mi intervals now, and I add a quart maybe halfway into that. It sounds like you are consuming 2-3x that rate.
If you are talking a large dry spot of oil on the undercover, that doesn't sound like much oil. It has to be burned by the engine, where else would it go?

I'm currently doing the gfs car, had fluid coming from the bell housing, its transmission fluid, took tranny out and the seal where the torque converter attaches is showing signs of leakage. While i'm there i'm also doing the rear main seal which is fun to find

So I just noticed a small weep happening around the 8-10 o'clock positions exactly along the seam between the engine and the transmission. My mechanic friend and I both agree that is engine oil and not transmission fluid. Is this the rear main seal going?
The area directly above is completely dry, so it is definitely not from the infamous leaky vacuum pump. I replaced both pump and gasket and added some sealant recently.

^ Most likely the rear main seal, but I never bothered looking more into it. Cheaper to just keep topping up (engine oil) than take the transmission out of the car.
