18" Rims - How bad is the Ride?

I'm still debating new rims and tires but I can't decide on size. I figured a 17" package would give a better ride than an 18" package. Any recommendations?

TIA - Smoke

I have 18" monolites on my C Coupe and SLK 32. Both ride well. My only recomendation would be buy a light weight wheel.

I had 17" AMG Monoblocks on my previous car and now Im on 18 " Brabus Monoblock V and the ride seems very similar. I dont think there is a huge difference. It just depends more on your suspension. How low, what springs, struts, etc.

My main concern for me was how is the roads. If the roads are smooth you have a lot of options. If not you should consider single piece rims as opposed to multi piece. Maybe 17" is better if there is a lot of potholes around your area. Etc.
