Crank Shaft Postion sensor Ripoff?

I went to an auto shop that had foreign repair and they billed me $350 to replace the CPS is this a rip off because I heard other places they got it done from the dealer labor and part for $200

No one has had this done yet to confirm if it was a fair deal?

The part for my car was $39.50 from Pelican, and it took all of fifteen minutes to install.

I would say they jacked up your trousers and rotated your wallet.

Well it was $200 for labor not too bad since it's hard to do yourself.

$ 200. to remove and replace one screw? I'd hate to find out how much they wanted for a water pump.

THE C350
If anyone ever needs one done within an hour of DC I will come and do it for you for $200 including the part. Yes the part is a pain to get to but should take no longer than 20 minutes if you are very slow and carful. So I would say go buy yourself some nice tools with $200 and grab a beer and do it yourself

I replaced the same part and I think I paid $35.00 at my local Napa auto parts place and 30 minutes of my time and the right tools to get to the sensor. The task was a PITA but can be done.
