Next C-Class for '06?
What I did find amusing was the line about the SA plant "competing" or "bidding" for production of the next-gen C with Bremen and wherever. This is so much nonsense. The cars will be no doubt be made at ALL of the plants that currently assemble the Cs: Rastatt, Bremen, and SA...not to mention the knock-down kit plant in Brazil?
This is the volume car in the line; in the absence of significant new production capacity somewhere in the world [only the Alabama plant seems to be getting bigger, and it is all spoken for in making MLs and the upcoming GST], why fiddle with the current production split?
