Initial post - new to W203 (2002 C240)
Hi all, new member, just got my dads 02 c240 for a steal. He upgraded to the w204 and I finally got rid of my 96 C280. It was a great car but it must have had every problem a w202 could have possibly had. It was a beast when it drove correctly which seemed to be on every third Wednesday in December. So far i'm loving the entry level w203, he took impeccable care of it, Oil was just changed, plugs and wires, brakes, interior is in perfect condition too which I love. Just cleaned the inside like crazy, It's kind of scary how nice it is inside. Got some dents and paint problems i'll get fixed.
Anyway, with all the problems I had with the w202 C280 I knew that car inside and out and what to look for. Anything I should take special care in observing/ things to watch out for with the c240?
Oh, I also have an issue with the cassette adapter stuck behind the door. I probably need to take the radio unit apart. I actually got the window open with a butterknife and some hope the other night but getting the cassette out is a different story. I ended up shutting it because a blackbear decided to greet me in my driveway.

Also, the front brakes have a squeak near the completion/ almost stopped. He said it had something to do with the calipers, I forgot at this point. Doesn't bother me as they are like dropping an anchor. I remember I put some cheaper brake pads on my c280 and the thing sounded like a school bus. I know these are quality pads, just wondering if someone could reiterate exactly whats causing this.
