Where is the cabin filter located on a 05 c240 4 matic?? How many are there??
Where is the cabin filter located on a 05 c240 4 matic?? How many are there?? I'm told there is one under the hood on top of the battery and two cabin filters under the glovebox under dash?? I'm confused?

The dust filter is behind the battery box. The activated charcoal filters are under the dash next to the blower fan if fitted. Early models with no fitment had dummy blankers installed. Newer models were blocked off if not ordered with activated charcoal & Thermotronic.

Ok. Does the 2005 C240 4MATIC have both filters? Meaning does this vehicle have the under the hood filter and under the dash filters or just one and not both? sORRY BUT i'M CONFUSED.....

Ok cool thanks. i was getting an awful musty smell after running ac. however I've read changing the filter doesn't help. the evaporator needs to be cleaned but i don't know how that's realistically possible as it is sealed away in the dash. nightmare

See the Wiki re HVAC odour. The cleaning prodedure is there. Requires you to drill 2 small holes & plug them.
