Wood Steering Wheel
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I've been following it for a few months. I have a 2004.5 C230 Sedan on order and am very interested in converting the aluminum interior to the wood interior.
Before the forums went down, someone had posted a picture of a 3 spoke wood/leather steering wheel from performance products. Whoever posted it, can you re-post and let me know the cost?
Thanks!
Jason

Call Jim Nelson at Performance Products. There is at least one more like mine sold. I like it better and better each time I drive.

You are fortunate, it is easy to get all the wood trim from other C240s and C320 sedans. Try Potomac German Auto 800-831-1111, ask for Rich.
Or there are lots of people who will trade their wood for your aluminum trim.

Actually in my humble opinion you are both wrong. The wood is larger diameter that the stock leather and it has small notches on the backside facing the dash. Your fingers just naturally fit perfectly in them, making the grip better.
Now it is just my opinion, you would really have to try it out for a day or so to feel how good it feels in the hands while driving.
Anyone with a 2004.5 sports sedan with a 3 spoke steering wheel will come to love the wood steering wheel.

I think they mean the wood is easier to slide through making grip less. IMO I must agree. My Jag has a wood steering wheel and I hate it. Its annoying and its freezing in the mornings. I wish they had a leather one not just the leather/wood one.

I like wood looks classy and if you get the RIGHT thickness it just feels better to drive around in. Also mine has like these thumb grips and stuff....But of course it just all depends on ones preferences.
