Heating only when EC REST is on
I am still getting used to my W203 C200 (2001) and I can't figure out how the heating works in this car.
The only heat I get is when the car has been running for a long time (20 minutes or more) and the engine has reached some 60+ degrees, and when the EC REST is enabled. Someone told me that this was normal, well, I don't buy it. Is this normal?
Before this, I wasn't even getting heat with the EC REST on, but I had the thermostat replaced (from a mechanic) and that fixed that. If I turn off EC REST, there's this smell of unflitered air that flows into the cabin.
I tried to reset the system, but the flashing lights never finished flashing.
Could it be that the freon is low or something else?
Thanks
