Jake,
Good to hear that your wish in your post 117 finally, after all these years, has become a reality. When you do the mod, take a bunch of pics and post them to this thread. It'd be a great DIY I too may consider doing on my car.

Thanks Cintoman...it just took a while to get a nice set built in the same time frame as my car...
Looking mainly for information right now on how the seats bolt to the car, the side hinges / pivots...
Also...The vacumm line, which run into the seats, just above the pivots.
Thanks!
Jake

Well...between EPC and WIS I located almost 90% of what I just asked...Sorry.
What I can not find...is;
1.) The four bolts that hold the seat back brackets, in the middle, to the floor.
2.) The bolts that hold the straps on the seat bottom cushions to the floor.

The LATCH system on our cars calls for you to use either window seat, not the middle.
I almost didn't get the car because of the rear seats
not folding down. I use this option occasionally for
random things. I recently went skiing and
threw my skiis(200's) in the back, fit diagonally .
It was last minute desicsion, but none the less
it makes the car more use full.
As for golf clubs, depending on bag etc the folddown
would probably allow for 4 sets of clubs when both
seat sides are down.
Ignor any comments on structural integrity being
an issue.
Other notes. I can't remove the middle head rest.
This is a problem as I want to use the middle for
a child seat but the top hits the head rest !@#$
I believe this is true for cars with the split
seats but I could be wrong.
Also, I am missing a 'LATCH' point on the right rear
side. The manual doesn't say the split seats cause
this, so maybe it's just missing from the vehicle.
Best wishes,

Basically, I don't want to rent a uhaul to pick up a 2x4 peice of wood. I guess I could stick it sideways through open windows, but would have to remove prior to pulling into garage unless I wanted to mod my car into a covertible

Can someone please post a part number for this?
I see A202 805 02 44 as a "Plug" for Fixed seats...and nothing for folding seats.
Also, what is PN A203 923 01 14 and A203 923 02 14 "BRACKET" for?
Thanks!

Well I order what EPC calls for...
203-800-00-53 and it looks wrong...at least not like this image in WIS...
I have ordered...
202-800-04-53
and
202-800-02-53
in hopes that one is correct.
Also...Someone posted a request for the PN on the label for the pull handle,
In English it is;
202-817-17-20 "Guide Sign"
I am also looking to see if someone, anyone will post detailed OEM images...as well as the coverings on the LATCH harnesses...I ordered "CAPS" 202-868-00-30-9051 and would like to see them installed...WIS does not show them...

Can I put a WAGON rear seat bottom only into a SEDAN
Does anyone KNOW if a station wagon rear bottom seat cushion can be directly fitted to a sedan? Is the floor stamping, mounts and other points up to the intermediate pad the same? Can someone please post images of your rear seat bottom in detail, folded up, underneath the seat and the metal seat bottom? I'm pretty sure this will bolt in.
Thank you all,
Jake

I am doing this retrofit on my C240 too. Took out rear folding seats off from my C32. Thanks for the images, I think I have figured out how to remove the latches after seeing how it's done.

I have recently purchased a 54 cdi C class and it also looks like the seats fold but don't. The seat part however does fold forward which I thought was unusual. There is also what looks like a blanking plate where the ski panel would be. Did you find the conversion straight forward?

The pivoting plate also need to be drilled into the car. There is already a small hole, but it is not big enough for screw. Besides that.. it's was pretty simple.

IKS Installed
SO...IKS, Integrated Kinder Sitze (Child Seat) is pretty rare on the w203...and, seems extremely rare in the Avant-Garde/Sport versions...particularly a sedan.
With that said...I do not LOVE that I have Elegance/Classic/"Luxury" lower seat bottoms installed...but that's all that was available on that trip to Germany in my year, color and finish...I would love to find a local upholstery shop to swap out my back pad for a single section, not this pleated one...I digress...
Here are some shots with the neck bolster support. Love this option, get the seat belt low and around my daughter's hips and routes the belt across her chest and away from her neck;

Thank you all for the thread discussion on how to retrofit the rear seat so it can fold down. I have a plastic cap covers on each side of the back of the rear seat of my 2006 C280. When I removed the covers I see the two spring latches. After reading all of your threads, I'm going to take another look at the trunk to see if I missed anything. Presently if I have a large long item to haul, I remove the head rest from the front passenger side, and put the seat as close to the dash as I can, then put the back of the seat as flat as I can. the diagonal works from the left rear, through the two front seat, and down to the floor of the right passenger side. End result: I'm looking into retrofitting the rear seat.
Thanks for the info.
