W203 Arrow Mirror Covers
I'd like to install these on my 03 c320. Has anyone installed these on their car?
any DIY posts? These are much better than the original ones installed.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
The dome light system controls the lights in the door. The system communicates over the CANbus. This means the switch that is closed when you open the door is not connected to the lamps. A computer determines which lamps need illumination and sends a serial message to modules throughout the car. This eliminates hundreds of feet of wire and the weight associated with it.
Inside the door is a module that decodes the signals on the CANbus and sends current to the devices. Take off the door panel and you will see the door module just below the window sill. There are several connectors. Follow the wires from the door lamp to the door module. You can connect the wires a couple inches from the door module connector, then run wires out to the mirror. Many cars have a connector outside the door to make removal of the mirror assembly easier. Some cars have unused cavities in the connector. If you purchase the correct terminals at a dealer you can make a snappy neat job of it.
