Hi, i have a c230 with a 2.5 L v6. I had some resonator problems and had a mechanic drill the insides out of the resonator, with that being done the car started showing errors and the check engine light came on. because of the emissions.

I have already tried putting a pipe on the resonator so the o2 sensor does not get as much emissions but still it is getting more than it should so the check engine light is still going strong.

If the error is deleted it comes back in about 20-30 miles.

Is there a o2 simulator or another bluffer that i can buy so the light stops bullying me !

Resonator shouldn't be throwing codes there's no sensors down that way I would check your primary cats and see if there's any leakage there or if any sensors are bad in that area
