W203 C240 SRS Light and No Dash Data
I have a 2001 C240 and it's been sat around the last couple of weeks with a problem. I finally spent some time on it yesterday and realised that the relay for the fuel pump had gone which we sorted.
In fault finding this, we took the horn relay out of the front SAM and put it in the Rear SAM slot for the pump relay. When we unlocked the car before starting work, the dash was working fine - showing mileage, temp, everything you would expect.
After playing around and getting the car going we looked back at the dash LCD and it was completely empty. Nothing - just the backlight. The computer is still functioning as I was getting some beeps out of whilst pressing the steering wheel buttons.
When we took it for a drive we then noticed that the red SRS light is on in the bottom right corner of the dashboard.
We've checked all the fuses (continuity - not just visual) and all ok. Almost feels a bit like something has lost communication?
I've tried fully disconnecting the battery from both terminals for 30 mins to see if that reset anything but nothing.
Any help or thoughts very much appreciated as can't see much online anywhere about a similar problem!
