Which high pressure diesel pump ?? Urgent.

Hello all,

Need a expert help...

My car is from 2002, S203 (W203) C270 CDI stationcar

I just changed my old pump with this item number:

611 070 0501

and i returned my old pump to the online shop... And he just wrote to me saying that my old pump is from a C270 and i bought a pump for the 200/220 models...

On this Danish site it says it fits my car too:
http://autoimport.dk/mercedes_webcat...6110700501OMB/

but the seller says its wrong...

This is his reply "the most high pressure pumps from mercedes see externally identical. But the Pump you bought is false. If the car runs out at high speed it is up the wrong pump. And the information on your website is false too. I am Sorry.

The part number you need is 6120700001"

but when i check the danish site it says:
http://autoimport.dk/mercedes_webcat...m/6120700001O/

and its mostly older cars and my model too...

Who is correct ??

Should i change my pump again ? or is it safe to drive with what i installed...

Thank you for your help...

I don't have any diesel vehicles, but have lots of diesel generators. The injection pumps look almost the same but have very different pressures and rate of delivery. I can't tell you if you need to change your pump, but the EPC at Mercedes has only one choice for Model 203.216 listed.

It is part number A 612 070 00 01. There is a note [697] This part is supplied as reconditioned only.

I hope this helps you. When in doubt it is best to check with a local dealer quoting the VIN to find the correct part numbers for your car.

Yes... you are absolute right.. its best to call ones local mercedes dealer and ask for the exact number...

And they said the same number as u mentioned...

That stupid danish site has too many mistakes.. never gonna use them again.

Its just easier at night to do the search then having time at the day time calling to mercedes...

Now i have to convince the seller to take it exchange it after i have used it for a week...

Thank you all for your time...
