Recent p0600 code ??? Instrument cluster lit up /not working
Hi guys,
This morning I started the car and the multiple malfunctions lit up on the cluster. I continued to drive down the road because the engine and transmission were working properly (car rode fine). These were the errors observed:
- Visit Workshop! Display Defective
- Brake Pad Wear Visit Workshop
- Coolant, Stop, Engine Off!
- While driving, the rpm was stuck on zero.
- The speedometer was bouncing around while driving.
I checked the 62 fuse but it was good. Any suggestions?
Thanks guys

Check for corrosion in the connector going to the abs/bas/esp control box.

Fixed! Code p0600 instrument cluster works then turns off
I was having issues with my car after the battery died all the way, I jump started it and it turned right on, noticed my instrument cluster was not working, windows, blinkers and AC was not working when engine was on, the car drove fine, shifted smoothly but the gear selector on the dash didn't work either. When turning key on on the first position the gauges read 0 and the selector display was off, when key on 2nd position, fuel gauge and gear selector worked as well as my windows blinkers and AC. Everytime I turned the engine on everything didn't work. I noticed that I was holding the key on the turned on position as the car was cranking, I decided to turn the key quickly in the start position and let go of the key and the engine turned on with everything working every time! I tried it again holding the key while cranking and the cluster didn't work again, I came to the conclusion that the key fob is what's causing the issue, probably needs to be reprogrammed since the battery was dead, for now I'm fine with turning the key quickly to have the car start and everything work. I'm glad I didn't have to spend any money, I hope this helps someone in the same situation
