My Merc W203 C230 2006 - I drove and got stuck next to the road. When I tried to start...the starter just runs till it stops without cranking the engine. Opening the left side pump, found the connection on the pipe to the right side kicked out. No sign of damage on the connections. Pluged it back and starter cranks the engine. Happened three times to me ... LOL! They say I must replace both pumps. Then if the problem persists, I'll have to replace the pipe between the two pumps and that they say means replacing the fuel tank. They told me I can drive with the vehicle just as long the tank stays above half? I'm getting the impression they want me to continue driving the car till everything blows...then I'm sure I'll have to replace more than just the fuel tank.
