2 issues, are they related? Spark Plug - Transmission

Alright people,

Here's the deal, w203 2001, got a bunch of codes and I need to figure out if it's worth a $700 job or if this was just a cascade from the main issue, that will never happen once the main issue is dealt with. here we go:

Cylinder 6 is misfiring once in a while and caused the engine to almost stall once, when this happened the check engine light came on, so I drove straight to the garage to have it checked out. (hence how I know it's cylinder 6)

I was given all the codes from the check engine light report, here are the transmission codes since all the other relate to the ACTUAL issue:

DTC Code

98 The internal electrical test of component Y3/6y3 (1-2 and 4-5 shif solenoid valve) has intermittently failed.

99 The internal electrical test of component Y3/6y5 (2-3 shif solenoid valve) has intermittently failed.

100 The internal electrical test of component Y3/6y4 (3-4 shif solenoid valve) has intermittently failed.

101 The internal electrical test of component Y3/6y6 (torque converter lockup PWM solenoid valve) has intermittently failed

116 Component Y3/6s1 (started lockout contact) or component Y3/6b1 (transmission oil temperature sensor is sporadically faulty or both.

So does this mean anything, the "sporadically faulty" has me thinking the transmission only reacted to the misfiring in the engine, so it's not worth cracking anything open and changing sensors. Any thought please, this will save me a $700 job!

Thank you all in advance!

The first thing I would check is that the Electrohydraulic bush where the TCU plugs into the transmission does not have a leak. Frequent problem & $12 part. Also check under the passenger kick plate that transmission fluid has not wicked up the harness to under the carpet.
