Request for repair instructions - C320S Voltage Regulator
I have an '04 MBZ C320 Sport w/ a Valeo alternator. The RED warning lamp on the display stating Battery/Alternator malfunction has illuminated on a few occasions, most recently resulting in several electrical consumers systematically shut-down by the ECU (e.g., command, blower, etc.). Vehicle has about 140K miles, so suspecting the voltage regulator has failed (brushes are probably worn out).
So, I'm looking for R&R / D&A instructions for replacing the regulator. Looks pretty straight forward (remove serpentine belt, remove alternator, etc.), but need diagrams to ensure I know where fasteners, etc. are located, as well as any specific steps for safeguarding the electrical system. I am a former MBZ journeyman mechanic, but haven't been in the trades since the early '90s, and haven't kept up with most of the developments in automotive technologies during that time. But, I still understand most of the jargon.
Thanks for any help that can be provided!

Joseph
