3" CutOut? Advice- Postive/Negative Feedback?

I have a 2007 230 Benz V6 sport. The stock exhaust sounds pretty good on the car but I also want to know would it sound nice if I put a 3" Electric Cutout on it. If anyone has advice Let me know! Thanks

An electric cutout so that you can Open and Close the exhaust, the car is N/A but a lot people told me that it gives a Deep nice tone to the car as well as breathing better.

you will lose back pressure, lose low end power/torque and sounds stupid. Cutout are great for forced induction cars or high cam cars with big displacement

Thanks Dude! Glad I didn't make a final decision on getting the CutOuts. But are there any suggestions for exhaust work on the Benz? I've seen that people have taken out the Resonators but to me they didn't sound as good. I want a a really good Exhaust that would make my car have that Mean Deep tone to it.

I have had cutouts on a couple of cars and in both cases I made more power across the rpm band (from idle to redline) with the cutout open (tested with open and closed cutouts on a dynojet dyno). I've also read that reducing backpressure can kill low end torque, but that has not been my experience with 2 high power V8 cars.

In one case the exhaust was very well designed and I only picked up 6 hp, but in another it was like pulling a potato out of the tailpipe and I made 30 more hp. And in both cases the car sounded great with the cutouts open.

Note: In both cases, the cutouts were past the cats.

you don't want to install a cutout if all you're looking to get is a better sound. It's LOUD as hell in most cases and is nearly always used to get more HP; not sound.
