Turn signal out and not fixed with new bulb!
Yesturday i got 1 malfunction saying my left front turn signal is out, indeed it was. So i bought new bulbs today, put one in and it still did not work. It came with 2 so i said i will try the other maybe both did not work. Well the 2nd one did not work either. So i took the right one out and put it in the left and it still did not work. I out a new bulb in the right and it worked fine, so the new bulb is working, but the left still does not go. An i suppose to do anything else after i change a bulb to like reset anything? maybe to make it work again? or is that not possible? would the malfunction go away right after it sees its working? or is there a trick to this? i really hope i am forgetting to do something, i dont want to make a trip the dealer, its very out of my way.
Thanks
Thanks

There is actually a wiring harness problem to the front turn signals.
If you take the socket out you will likely see that the connections are burnt. I guess you can either scrap the stuff off or the dealer can repalace it.

Best, go to your dealer. He can replace the socket. If don't do it for free, help yourselve:
Solution, based on the contact conditions: Clean the contact of the socket with sandpaper and bend it a little bit. If there's a hole in the contact, make a soldering point to close it.
I did this and I never had this problem again.

I had the same problem with my turn signals. The right one went out when I first got the car - they replaced the wiring harness. The MB service told me that they have had problems with this and that there should be a tech bulletin out on this. They were supposed to replace both turn signal harnesses, but evidently they did not. My left one just went out right before Thanksgiving. Took it to the MB dealer near my sister's house and they fixed it - all under warranty.

If you go to the dealer make sure you put the mercedes bulbs back in, my dealer was being a pain about using replacement bulbs that werent mercedes, said he could void the warranty on the signals because the owner is not supposed to replace them. what a crock, huh?

The front turn signal sockets on my car were replaced under warranty. Dealer said he had a bulletin on this problem.
The new parts were: 203-826-02-82 socket; 000-545-78-80 gasket.

Engineering change....
This problem is covered by an engineering change that involves adding wiring and bypassing faulty contacts. Don't know the EC number.
