The lowest price. Insurance company's have changed through out the years. In the old day's if you did not use one of the big three insurance companys support sucked. Because of Gov regulations/deregulations and litigations pretty much all insurance companies are legit. I have had Farmers, AllState and paid high priceses but never felt that I got my monies worth. Then I went to the insurance companies like Gieco and Mercury/21 Century etc... In fact when I got a crack in my windshield and had to exchange it. My insurance company did all the work. All It cost was $100.00/below my deductable bucks to replace my windishield with a MBZ OEM one. Insurance company called and asked what day was good for the guy to come over and replace it in my parking lot. It was pain free. I pay a lot less but seem to get good as or better service. When I bought my MBZ my old insurance company tried to raise my rates by a bunch of money (I had an Infiniti). So I shopped around and ended up paying about 10-15 bucks more than my old policy. It pays to shop around.

Definitely shop around. I've been using Geico for many years b/c they offered me the cheapest rates. Service has been outstanding.
Additionally, you may find the best deal by sticking with who you have. Many insurance companies offer better deals the longer you stick with them. Every time I look at switching carriers to someone who promises me lower rates, they can never come close to what I have now through Geico discounts.

I've been getting pretty competitive rates through State Farm for a few years. They were the only guys who would insure my '66 Mustang a few years back when it was my daily driver.
