O2 Sensor DYI for 2002 W203 Coupe Request
Hello everyone, my sister just got a 2002 C230 Kompressor Coupe and the CEL came on, the code is P0131 BANK1 SENSOR 1, which means based ob my research so far I gather that we have to change the upstream oxygen sensor or pre-catalytic sensor, which is $250 at the dealership...I have replaced 02 sensors on my BMW and it was a piece of cake.
I need help locating the correct sensor and whether or not I need any special tools other than a 22mm wrench.
I looked on the forum and was not able to find any direction or instructions in regards to the Coupe M111 engine.
If someone can provide some instructions/pictures for this DIY will be greatly appreciated.

Bank 1 sensor 1 is your pre-cat sensor.
Just remember to buy the correct part number, check rmeuropean / pelicanparts for the correct one. I'd also recommend changing all the o2 sensors at the same time and not just the one that is giving you a MIL.

Thank you, I'm still trying to figure out which is the correct part number for the pre-cat sensor, I called the dealership and they refused to give me the part number...I guess I will have to keep calling dealerships until someone gives me the part number.
