Engine Tick at 56,000 miles c280.
Noticed a slight engine tick today on my c280 during idle only. Regular mobil 1 oil changes, 0w40 spec with fleece filters. 9qts as per the manual. I've read online that the injectors on the v6 can be loud/ clack. Any truth to this?
Should I try taking a sound clip?
How about running a carbon buildup additive?
Any advice would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks guys!

Your signature video is pretty distracting! I almost forgot you were asking a question! ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Does it only occur when the engine is cold or any time it idles? It's probably hot outside. Do you even hear it with the windows rolled up? with the A/C on? I assume it's not throwing a CEL, right?
I don't know if it could be the injectors, but I would put Techron in your gas regularly anyway. If it happens when it's cold and then goes away, I wouldn't worry about it. With your mileage and maintenance, I would guess it's probably nothing. Mine is the M271 engine so I pay pretty close attention to ticking sounds. My wife's has the M272 (like yours, right?) and I haven't noticed it at all when I drive it. It has almost 80K miles.
Maybe somebody else has more definitive information for you.
