seriously specific Q: Alternator pulley nut left or right threaded?
EDIT* It seems that the alternator nut does not exist and is instead the end of the alternator shaft. This would mean that the alternator pulley unscrews counter clockwise. Can anyone confirm? This would mean that, to loosen, I'm twisting the box end wrench attached to the spline counterclockwise while at the same time twisting the 1/2 socket wrench clockwise. Does this even make sense? AHhhHHHH!

The alt rotates clockwise, so I would be expecting the pulley to unscrew counter-clockwise while holding the shaft steady.
Do post some pictures of how you got an impact gun there! Cool
