Question Transmission

I just bought this lovely 2005 c230k sedan with 107k on the mileage and I dont drive but every couple of days and when i start the car and get going between 1st and 2nd gear it jerks but when i push C on the transmission thing and drive in that mode for a couple of minutes and put it back into S the problem doesn't happen until i drive it again a couple of days later is this something i should worry about?

Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that switching between C and S is not a good idea while in gear. In any case, by jerks what do you mean? Does it hesitate to get into gear and then throws itself in?

Does that just happen within 1-2 minutes after starting? Sounds normal, the car holds low gears longer to keep the revs up and warm the cats.

Switching b/w S and C while in gear is fine. The manual advises to observe caution while doing so - but that's because "the transmission's behavior and shifts might change and you might not be able to control the car" bla-bla-bla.

115k ... my car does this too now. I wouldn't say "hiccup" ... but it is a bit finicky on gear selection and throttle control for the first minute or so until the system starts to "wake up". I've just been easing through it by giving it a bit more throttle to keep the revs up a bit, and pausing an extra couple of seconds at the first two stop signs I reach when leaving home.

Don't know if this is the tranny conductor plate, throttle body being a bit sticky, sticky tranny valves, or something else. One of these days I'll have to pick up a STAR system to see what it says.

Fyi I've already cleaned the throttle body and done a tranny fluid flush 15k ago.
