No codes
No codes
2003 C230 K Sport Coupe ran OK despite frequent stalling. Now, cranks but won't fire. Dashcommand shows no codes but readiness monitors are all incomplete ( battery was dead but is charged now). Any guidance appreciated.
Thanks Glyn. I know how to check the fuel pressure but am unsure how to check the CPS. Can you please advise, or by check do you mean replace? The dealer has previously said it "might be" the fuel pump/filter, but couldn't say for sure. Also said it wasn't the CPS. Obviously, I don't entirely trust the dealer. How could I, given that they couldn't diagnose the problem? They wanted to do several thousand $ worth of work before they would diagnose.

There is no easy way to DIY check the CPS. We DIY'ers can only really change it and accept that it might be a few dollars wasted. They fail often so replacement is not a bad idea anyway. They run very hot due to location.
Have your battery properly load tested.
