side curtain airbags

I am only 5'4" tall, so I sit relatively low and have a lot of head room. I am wondering if my head maybe too low for the side curtain airbags to protect me in case of a side impact.

The side airbag and the curtain air bag will cover the WHOLE SIDE of the car in the event of an accident. Don't worry, you are fine.

I know the side airbags that pop out from the door is pretty large. but the one that pop out from the top edge of the side frame is just a tube shape airbag. or maybe if I am that short, the side airbag from the door will covers me enough.

That's what I just said.

Where the Side airbag ends, the Curtain airbag starts.

BMW uses a tube-like shape for the head airbag, whereas Mercedes uses a full large bag that covers the entire area.
