just got my first ticket with the C...DARN!!

just got my first ticket with the C...DARN!!
i was following this mini van minding my own business on I66 near rt.123 in VA... and out of no where comes the flashing lights.... AND HE PULLS ME OVER... not the minivan...
he told me i was doing 79 in a 55. Then he asked me to roll my rear window down..so i let the auto button do its job.. he was not impressed when it rolled all the way down.. he wanted it rolled down partially so he can cehck the tint.. great..first speeding and now the tint... to add to his annoyance.. i also didnt' have my address change slip.. the guy was not happy at all with me..
after close to 20 mins.. the trooper came back and said that he was going to let me go on the speeding but he will give me a ticket for the tints... i was like HELL YEAH!!!! didn't tell him that though.... if i got this ticket.. i would have had -16 points... that would have been a no no... i thanked him profusely and drove off...
i got off easy on this one... i gotta ease up on the gas.. i think i'm going to get a geo metro or something.. any car that is not made to be on the autobahn....

Well with a name like Fuzzo I would expect that!
Good thing he let you off... 16 points, ouch. Here in Florida if you get 12 points within a year your license is suspended for 6 months.
But who cares, go get all the tickets you can get if your moving to another country in a few months!

it's the same in VA as well... 12 points and you are done driving for a year i think... i currently have 10.. so i can't really afford to be speeding anywhere even though i am moving.. 
i must say though.. it is such a good feeling to get off a speeding ticket... it just can't be described.... i was spent after that ordeal..

The legal limits on the tint in VA is very light.. we are legally allowed to have have 35% in the rear doors and 50 in the front 2 doors... with 50% tint.. hell i may aswell put some saran wrap on my windows
so i got 20 in the back and 35 in the front.. it's not really dark but they usually add the tint fine on when they stop you for other stuff...specially in fairfax county.. i just got lucky...
my friend got stopped for going below the speed limit and they gave him a ticket for his tint as well...

Good thing you only got the tint violation. My buddy just got a ticket and has 22 points now!! This owning an S500 and a 911. Well the 911 is with me now for the next few months but he will not be driving for a while. It is very unfortunate , but it is tough to stay that slow with cars that fast. I know how it is for me but I do use a Radar Detector. Much better driving with one than without.
