I think Fuzzo is asking about the CLK-DTM race car. I don't know, but would guess it is Deutsch Tuner Motors, or something along those lines. I am sure someone here knows, or will do a google search for us.

OK, a quick search shows it to be...
Deutschen Tourenwagen Masters (DTM)
And here's what it is...
"Resurrected in 2000, the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters reintroduced four-litre V8 touring cars back to Europe. The aim for the series is to provide fast and spectacular racing for production type cars with a relatively low level of technical sophistication beneath the skin. Reigning champion Mercedes-Benz enters 10 of its CLKs, Opel fields eight Astra Coupes and the private Abt Sportsline team runs four of its 'stretched' Audi TT-Rs. Big name tin-top stars like Bernd Schneider, Manuel Reuter, Alain Menu, Laurent Aiello and Joachim Winkelhock ensure the series remains one of the biggest and closest-fought in Europe. "

Z's in general are all little rockets.. but 70's Z's didn't have much fluff accessories in them.. the were pretty much all business
I got the car like 2 weeks ago for $1000.
the inside is all original .. even the radio.. the outside needs a bit of paint/rust removal...but it doesn't look bad.. you can hardly see it unless you are examining it closely... the best part of the car is that it still has the original starter and it turns right on with no hesitation.... the guy took care of it as best as he could, then he started to commute to NC from DC 2 times a week and racked up the miles... but the car still runs very nicely and strongly....
within the 2 weeks.. i have gotten 2 offers more than 1K... so i think i'll have an easier time selling the Z than the MB....

german racing series that's basically similar to the super touring car series present in japan (jtcc), britain (btcc pre-2000, now it's changed a bit), sweden, etc. so the clk-dtm is probably the race car mb uses for the dtm, which is deutschen tourenwagen masters. we used to have one over here in the states, but it never really had a chance cause of .. nascar. if anybody had watched the btcc series, nascar would be so boring.

and I always loved the original of the 70's. The closest I came was having a deposit on a demo 260-Z (forget the year),
If it was a 260Z it was 1974. There were 2 types due to bumper law changes. Early had the 240Z bumpers, late had a much heavier 280Z bumper and more smog control making it much slower and less desirable to the Z lover. The best year was 1972 all around. Fuzzo, good luck with your new obsession!
