Well I have called EVO and asked for the price of the Grill which is $629. I asked for a group price and they said Ben would have to give me a call back. So while I am waiting for the call back with the quote price how many people are interested.

I just got off the phone with EVO and they said if we get 10 people to buy it would be $535 a grill from $629. Respond to this so I can get a number of people that have the $$ to get the grill.

Thats ok, but I know people could get the 535 area price without a group buy. Ive emailed a Taiwan source which is more direct, and they said they will get back to me. I was looking to be in the $450 area unpainted. Otherwise, its just not worth $500+ IMO. For you non C32 guys, you could get C32 brakes for $600!

Sorry... your thread just came a little late. I would be interested in a group buy but I just ordered from performance.com . I checked the order and they already shipped 2day Fedex. They said that this grill was part of the Expression Body Kit and made in Germany??? is that true? someone mentioned Taiwan... are we after the same Grill?

Sounds like you are getting the cheaper Ebay type star grill. The one we are after has a large star in the center.

How much did you pay?

I paid $629 as listed on site. Type keyword on search "Expression style", the CL grill is one of the items of body kit. Now that I read it --- mentions made in Belgium.

I know the grill with the smaller star, they also sell it for $269.

BTW, I checked evosport site and what they have is --- CL-Hood conversion. Includes grill and flat hood logo for $2052 --- that's really a LOT of mula!!

I also saw a similar grill from ez-tuning.com chinese site. Here's the link to grill -- http://home.kimo.com.tw/wdb435/ez-news.html -- looks similar to the Expression Body Kit. In fact, it might be one and the same because I see an Expression logo in one of the cars on their homepage.

Well, I might get it on Tuesday. I dont really know if I'm gonna like it till I see it.

Looks like they have a no hassle return policy. I dont have a problem returning it if someone could get a deal together and we're talking about the same product -- you can count me in. That makes 4 of us from the replies I'm seeing. Do we really need 10?

Yes, it is the real deal indeed! I got the grill today and started to analyze how it mounts to the car. The grill is an OEM MB CL grill modified to fit the C-Class so you can never go wrong with this grill from Expression.

I did a "mock install" and showed the modified C320 2004.5 car (only 1 week old - brilliant silver) to my wife. To her, it made the car more sporty but it would attract more attention than it already does -- i agree. The flat hood emblem ($30 cost) update alone was enough to change the look of the car -- it is already beautiful even with original grill.

Anyway, the car is my wife's. The new car is always hers - why? - because i'm stupid! I was originally looking for a C320 coupe and ended up buying her sport sedan instead. Had it been mine, I still have second thoughts on keeping the grill because it is, after all, a modification and there are some very minor adjustment that I'd do to make it fit right.

The unmodified 2003 CL grill is around $280 to $360 depending on the VIN or when it was manufactured. There's a lot of trimming done to it to make fit the C-Class not to mention the custom bottom piece that needs be painted. To buy it at $500 is, I think, very reasonable. However, I think I'm gonna pass on this upgrade ... maybe in another 3 years to give it a facelift ... but the car is so new and beautiful ... we'll settle for the flat hood emblem for now.
