Need some brake advise...generic
need your advise peeps...
So I was just inspecting the brakes on my van and saw that the pads were worn down to it s bits and since i had a set of brand new pads I juts swung into action and replaced them. So old rotors and new pads. But my rotors had a shudder probably from being ever so slightly wrapped. I was thinking of getting them cut, but my research has made me choose otherwise. So I bought a brand new set will will arrive in a couple of days and I will immediately pop them in.
Now my big question is will the brand new pads that are on there damaged/worn due to me driving it gently for say 200 miles tops...or am i good to go with the brand new rotors and reuse the pads; and every thing will be brand new and good to go.
In other words does slightly wrapped rotors cause any damage to brand new brake pads?
Thanks a ton...

You should be fine. I doubt there would be, but if there are any irregularities in the pad material, they will be worn off shortly after you bed them to your new rotors.

Yes, the pad material is softer, so it should conform to the new rotors easily. And if it doesn't, at least you'll know why.

you'll be fine as it takes about 500 miles or more for them to bed in.
And even then using old pads on new rotors will eventually wear to the contours of the new rotor (provided there is enough material) But generally is not a good practice as old pads tend to be glazed
