DAS/Xentry Offline Programming
Anyone have any recommendations on where I can either get a password generator to enable offline programming in SDS or someone that can login to the MB site and do it live? I want to update the software in the AGW on a 2006 C230 to try and enable the steering wheel memory preset option.
I have found these options only so far which seem pretty high but nothing where someone can remote in with teamviewer and login live for a reasonable cost

Been using offline programming for over a year, done many things. I have a dedicated laptop for it, but I can't get epc/wis on it, it asks for a start key (china version). It's not a huge deal, I can access epc online and I have wis on disc. Just would be nice to have everything in one place.

Yes. Same vendor, mbstartool. I opened the cover. I inspected electronic boards. There were 4 or 5 missing inductances on the board. I am not sure that the tool is a high quality clone.

This is a little off subject for this thread but since it has been asked about setups just wanted to let everyone know if you can get your hands on a good version of the software, you can use any laptop you choose.
I have an older C3 and been using a USB serial adapter for years with no problems. I am using a Win7 Vaio computer with only USB ports and have my 11/2012 das software in a WinXp virtual machine on the same laptop. I have connected to 2011/MY vehicles with this setup also.
I am not sure the requirements for the newer C4/C5 though.
This is the adapter I purchased GearMo Windows 7, 8 and 10 Compatible USB Serial Adapter FTDI Chip RS232 DB-9 920K with TX/RX LED

I have a dead teleaid and I would like to tell the SRS computer that teleaid is not present so I can turn off the SRS light. What are my options? I'm not sure buying the hardware and software for das/xentry is cost effective for the problem. Are there any indie shops in the bay area would be willing to do the work? From what i've read on this forum dealers are either unwilling to do the work or will charge an arm and a leg.
