Just got Schatz exhaust tip from formymercedes.com.
I just tried to install it, but the hanger part won't get hooked on to that metal piece. Any tip will be helpful.

I had to bend the hanger just a bit to make it work. I ended up hating the way the tips looked and sold it on ebay.

never mind...

i first saw the instruction sheet all in german.
i just noticed there was english instructions on the other side. :-P

just gonna take it to midas tomorrow...
anything besides typing is too much labor for me... :-)

I had the exact same problem. The pieces just did not fit. I ended up returning it back to Performance Products for a refund. Even though it turned out to be a manufacturing defect, they only gave me a partial refund minus the shipping cost.

I like them tucked in closer to the bumper....I had to re-adjust mine...i didn't use the hanger thing.

Can I get a couple side profile pics from the car level (basically kneeling down next to car), and the level someone would see it from the side, say walking up to it...

if you can't DIY, take it to a shop.
i took mine to midas and it was free... i just gave tip. :D

check out this auction at ebay for your genuine "Schaetz" exhaust tip, beware of cheap knock-offs---->
