Question lowering springs or suspension

Hey, what's up guys

Are there any suspension setups or lowering springs that will drop a C240 by 2".
If I'm not wrong the H&R cupkit has a 2" drop right, are there any other besides H&R cupkit?

And can someone post their C-class sedan with 2" drop or 1.5" drop.

Thanks

The H&R Cup Kit is probably yr best bet. Or you can go further on a set of H&R coilovers? Its adjustable, you can choose how much to drop!

Ive got the cup kit on my C320.
I already have the sport package so the drop was not exactly 2.0 inches.
More like 1.75 or so.
The rear is fine but i wish the drop in the front was a little more so the car sits evenly.
The cup kit is a great buy but getting the coilovers( if you got that extra cash to spend) would be even better.
The cup kit will allow you to go as much as 2.2 in the front and 1.7 in the rear...

Man, I envy your rims calvin!!! Those are 18" OZ F1-something, right? I really, really want those . What tires do you have? Is the ride much rougher than with standard rims/tires?

You can see my car's 2" drop in the C-class pictures thread. Page 7.

yea.....I saw it.

That is nice dude. Did you do something with the front, because it the drop looks even with the rear. Should the front be higher than the rear.

Thanks harris

The car's current setup is stock AMG shocks + H&R springs (from the cup kit). I didnt do anything to the front but I've put a Dot 4 (the thickest one) shim perch on the rear just to balance it out.
I am seriously considering Kleemann or Renntech suspension system.

The only thing that i can think of which will cause a warranty problem is the shocks. You can always change the aftermarket springs back to yr stock springs IF they refuse to cover the warranty. Otherwise, I dont think there's a problem.

Well some dealers are pretty **** about modifications. You change your light bulb...."we don't want to touch your car until you change it to stock" dealer says.
You have Cold Air intake....."We will void your warranty for that"
and so on and so forth

But what I understand is that they can't void your warranty just like that. If a problem happens and after they traced it they found out that your modifications is the cause of that problem, then they won't fix it for you using your warranty.
But if your modifications didn't cause the problem, then they should use the warranty to fix your car.

I put a cat-back exhaust and a K&N drop in filter in my VW, the dealer are pretty OK with that, although they told me not to mod the car or else it will void the warranty.

hope it helps

thanks guys

the wheels are O.Z. F1 Plus. 18x8
The tires are in front are Michelin Sport 225/40.
The tires in the rear are P7000 235/40

The ride is not as good as it was when the wheels were stock but Im not complaining.
The FUN FACTOR more then compensates for it.

Sort of. See let's just say that I suddenly feel that my car is loosing power, and the dealer finds out that the problem is from my aftermarket muffler, say it got holes on it, then they won't pay the repair for me. But if the problem is that one of my spark plug is dead, then they have to replace it for me under warranty (given that I still have warranty on that car).

I once burned my headlight harness in my VW Jetta, because I changed to high wattage bulbs. I knew it for sure that my bulb was the cause of the problem, so I changed it back to stock and brought it to the dealer. I played dumb as if I'm surprised that this thing happened. Although they seemed suspicious, they can't prove that it was my fault, so they changed it for me anyways......

I called up my dealer and they said any parts that is not factory parts will void the warranty. They added that if it's the AMG springs and dampers then it's fine.
