Need to replace one of my brake lite bulbs . . . the manual says to just squeeze two tabs on the bulb cluster housing and it should pop out for bulb replacement.

But jeez-o-man the cluster is really tight and doesn't want to come out. Even when applying alotta force. I'm afraid something's gonna break before it comes out. The other bulb cluster's the same way.

Is there some trick to getting the bulb cluster housing out?

dealer should replace any bulbs free of charge in the service lane. Also make sure you get your tail light cluster's replaced under warranty. There was a recall on the 01-03 tail light assemblies. I believe it's until 03...

What was the recall for? Does it apply to coupes?

I believe the recall is for the rear tail light shorting out. I have seen a few melted even and this may be the reason your's is stuck. It normally comes out fairly easy.
