*Problem Free C-Class Experience. Post here!*

I would like to know how many people on this board had very, very, little to no problems with their C-Class.

Here is the CRITERIA:

You have OWNED the car for ATLEAST 6 months! AND You had NO SERIOUS ERRORS come up in YOUR DISPLAY. such as ESP, Check engine, BAS etc THAT IT IS A MUST TO TAKE TO YOUR DEALER! (if this is you do not contiune reading this)

If you had stupid issues like, window, sunroof, rattles, radio, and other minor stuff thats fine. As it is not important.

Remember please only post here if you you pass the CRITERIA. (If you have any questions about if you problems pass the criteria, please post)

Please DON'T post here your problems you have had. We had enough of those threads.

So just post if you have been problem free(Meanin NO SERIOUS ERRORS) I dont want to hear about your rattles or what not

Thanks for participating

I have owned my car for about 13 months and have 11,000 miles and have had a pretty problem free car.

Please also post YEAR of car, MILEAGE, MONTHS of ownership.

Ed

I have been "problem free".(MEANING NO SERIOUS ERRORS)

(I hope I am not the only one)

Hmm.... What kind of problem was it? Was this your only problem? Was it s SEVERE Problem such as Engine, Transmission, ESP, BAS etc.

If its the only 1 severe you have had and it never happened afterward then its OK. You may post "problem free"

Did the light just go out? Hopefully not at night!

Not Severe. We can let that go! If that is all then you may post"problem free"

It was the infamous ESP/BAS message at about 1500 miles, if I remembered correctly. But it went away after I took the car to the dealer, and they fixed it.

Other than that, and a blown brake light bulb (which took 5 minutes to replace free at the dealer), my car has been trouble free for a year and a half and 16000 miles now.

Nothing much yet, and I'm at 10,000 miles.

Well, other than that stupid oil pump issue. Every time I get gas the gas pump clicks out randomly.

After a few days short of 18 months, and 49,100 miles on my 2002 C230 Kompressor, I've never had a "serious" problem by my definition.

The BAS/ESP error was fixed (a short in a wire that went to a sensor) at a scheduled service. Once there was a sensor error that casused the car to go into limp mode, which was fixed by the dealer the next day. I also had a noisy power steering which was fixed after the seals were replaced.

Nothing ever left me stranded other then flat tires (I've grown to hate the original Michelins). Otherwise a *VERY* reliable car.

Generally problem free....squeaks - fixed, rattles - fixed, sway bar bushings - replaced....oil changes and tire rotations at 5,000 mile intervals....the car seemed to "break in" around 10k miles. Runs very well since...

My biggest problem had been with the salesmonkey screwing up my original order...but after 2+ years of owning it, that's ancient history. I take my C in for it's second "service a" tomorrow, and my SA is great.

No major issues

Dealer adjusted parking brake & replaced door seal (wind noise noticed by service tech on test drive - not by me) during 1st service.

Loving the car after 1 year!

2003 C230 SC
Purchased 09/2002
40K kms

- faulty fuel pump, replaced under warrantee within an hour at dealership, no problems since
- burnt out fog light, replaced under warrantee
- burnt out rear licence plate light, replaced under warrantee
- squeaky roof, fixed 2 times, just starting to squeak again
- cracked steering wheel buttons (due to Canadian winters no doubt) replaced under warrantee
- broken interior 'button' when installing cargo net with a hammer due to poor design of clips
- broken cargo net clip (they probably aren't designed to hold a case of beer!)

Good notes:
- brakes showing little signs of wear after 40K kms, I almost wish they did so they'd be replaced under warrantee
- 6-speed loosen up, much nicer to drive

Received June 2002. About 9,000 miles. No serious problems where the car died or couldn't be driven. Overall, I enjoy my little coupe. Have received very good service (when needed) from Ray Catena in central NJ.

PROBLEM FREE

Occasionally my left Bi-Xenon low beam does not come on at startup and I get a warning for it in the dash. ONLY happens at startup and the light comes back on if I turn the engine off and then on again. I will have it checked out eventually.

Had a 2003 fully loaded C 230 K Coupé for 1 year. No problems at all, drove it for 25'000 km's.
Since October I've got my C32. Drove it for 7000 km's so far, no problems either.

I use to say, be nice to your car, and it'll be nice to you. I broke it in very carefully. Never rev'd it high when cold, wash it once a week.. maybe I just had luck so far

C230 Sport Coup + 2006 W164 ML350 + 99 Ford Escort RIP
Mostly 'minor' issues.
1.One occurance of ESP/BAS that went away after restarting.
2.Alignment issues on delivery that almost caused me to lemon the car...BUT after 7 visits total they gave me a new set of tires and several free alignments, problem solved, or rather mostly due to C7 and Michelin tire combo. I like the Conti-Extreme Contacts better! All that was resolved within first 3K miles,
but I was pretty pissed about it at the time. Lots of trips to the dealer.
3. Squeaks and rattles that resulted in entire pano roof being replaced...which is cool cause I have the the the new style '04 roof that doesn't have wind buffeting.
4. Other little things, all fixed by dealer.

Always got another coupe or a 240 to drive, so who's to complain? Long as I'm driving a Benz and not a Ford Focus, I'm happy....although my car has noticebly more power than a 240.
Not like I had to go from an SL to a coupe, so me very happy.

Never left on the side of the road, starts every time.
Now at over 30K miles, and coming up on 2 years end of Jan.
So, no, I haven't had a major issue of any kind.
And every single little thing I asked to be fixed, was, gratis.
Including things like removing 'no phone' and adding tunnel mode, which many people had to pay for.

I LOVE my car.
AND they call me MR. C230 Sport Coup and treat me like royalty.
And they have free donuts, right Buell?
