ESP turns off, Gas pedal has no reaction simultaneously
Morning all.
I've searched and haven't found a thread with this exact problem. So I'm sorry if it does already exist.
W203 2001 c320 4 door sedan automatic engine.
I always put 91 octane or above.
Same scheduled oil changes with same oil for years now.
(I keep spares of the same oil so if I need some on the road I have it)
I was driving at 65 mph (105 kph) and the ESP kicked off and the gas pedal wouldn't accelerate. Simultaneously. pulled off the highway turned the car off. restarted it. No more issues. The gas tank was 7/8 full.
24hrs earlier same thing but at about 40 mpg (65 kph). The gas tank was 1/8 full.
The weather is -13 F (-25 C) for both days. Could this have anything to do with my problem or not? Engine temp was about 80/90 (on the display) for both times.
Let me know if any of you have experienced this and what my next step is to diagnose the situation. (no computer to test it. so I can't retrieve the code)
