After installing a AVIC Z130BT in my 2006 c230 I realized that the unit powers up but produces no sound.. I don't have any speakers hooked up to the unit but rather to two aftermarket amps,,,,-anyone got any ideas about what might have been accidentally omitted during installation which might be causing this to take place???? Thanks in advance

You have the pre outs on the avic connected to the amps... The amps are working? Have you tested the Amps with another RCA source?
Are there any settings to set the pre outs to active? Buried in a menu? What source are you trying to play? iPod or cd or fm?

No I haven't tested the amps as they were hooked up and working fine when i replaced the old deck and after try every source possible I then went through the menu but have had no luck finding anything relating to preouts

If the amps are on and connected to the speakers the problem is the avic or your RCA cables
double check the RCA cables plug behind the Avic unit is fully engaged on the the back of the HU. also dont forget to check the remote wire going to your amps.
