Shifter Not Working
Hey Guys, minor emergency so I was hoping I could get some help.

My 2002 C180 W203's Shifter can move very loosely, the car doesn't seem to move out of 'parked' however the Shifter can move and hence change which 'gear' is highlighted on the center dash.

Was wondering what you guys thought it was.

Their are two bushings that connect the shifter to the transmission. They are known to fall out/fail as they get older. My guess is that they fell out and the linkage came off. If its not that then I would say you have way bigger issues.

Could you point me to a place where I can read up how to access and potentionally repair/replace the bushings?

I would replace both the clip and the bushings as it is time if one went.

I believe the setup is similar to the w211

120 Miles I love the car to bits.

Now just the problem of how to fix P201D... and that is an elusive one.
