New member from Puerto Rico! Kompressor C230 2002 coupe
So a few months ago I replaced the alternator and battery in my car because the bettery would drain in a few hour, the guy said there was a short on the map light module, that's for the sunroof, so he unplugged it, he also said my front SAM was defective, I replaced that but not the map light module. After I got my car back I notice I can't open the trunk, something that worked fine before taking it to him, opening it with the key is useless, I tried crawling in from the back seat and I noticed the emergency trunk release button is off so I suppose there's no power in the trunk? Also I have no reception on my radio and unlocking/locking the car with the key fob only works in night time! It's so weird, but I can't be too far away, I have to be close to the door handle. I'd like any help with this

If you put your hand between the key and the door (blocking the tip of the key) can it unlock the car? Sounds like something wrong with the antenna in the rear.
Maybe he messed up the wiring while replacing the front SAM?
