2003 Mercedes Benz Parking Brake won't Turn off
So, i guess i Accidently put my foot on the leg parking break in my benz and when i tried to pull it back with the parking break handle, it wouldn't work. The sign kept showing parking brake is on and the HUD was red and beeping to release the parking brake.
I pulled the lever to release the parking brake and it went back but the warning beep and sign still comes up. I can push the brake down and pull it back up with the lever but the sign doesn't go off when driving.
Any Solutions?
Oh, i recently also changed to summer tires and a day after that, i got the warning sign and beep

Yes, I bought the car a few months ago and it came with the summer tires.
I don't know how the tires could affect the parking brake but the parking brake is somewhat loose too. Once i put the summer tires on, a day later the parking brake sign wont go but the car works fine when you pull the parking brake towards you with the lever.

Update: I held down the brake on the car and then pushed down the foot parking break, then i released both.
The parking brake ticked a few times when i pushed the brake.
Then when I pulled the parking brake release lever, the foot pedal pushed towards me and i used my foot to pull it towards me and let go of it.
Once i follow this procedure, the light usually goes away but now when i do it, the last doesn't dissapear and when I'm driving, the car keeps beeping telling me to release the parking brake when it's already released. This only happens with my summer tires for some reason. When i had my winter tires, i followed the above procedure and the light usually goes off. But, now when i try it with my summer tires, the light wont dissapear...

Well. I fixed it a different way! Under the lever, you can pull out this parking break mechanism, which holds the fuse or switch (something of that sort) that initiates the parking brake indicator, and it wasn't functioning. So, I simply disabled the switch by removing it and getting it replaced later on. I don't have a need for it anyways! And the parking break will still function, but you won't ever get that indicator again on the speedometer hud.
