-Installed the Audio 10-
All I have to say is . What an improvement! The bass by itself is worth the money. The Clarity and quality has also improved significantly. I am very satisfied with this upgrade! I will try to get some pictures tomarrow. Thanks for everyone for the recommendations! Also big thanks to Jay for installing!

All right after extensive listening with various kinds of music for a few hours I have to say I am very impressed! The Bass is deep and the clarity of the sound is superb. I can't believe why MB would put that POS alpine unit in our cars! I went from listening to music in my car for about 30 min to over an hour or two! This is easily the best upgrade I have ever done. Period.

Sure the CC (cassette) version is cheaper, you can probably find one for under $100 euro on www.ebay.de . There's 2 now for 1 euro and nobody has bid on them. Just search german ebay for Audio 10 CC W203.

In the market
I don't really understand why MB doesn't just just make the Audio 10 a part of the standard equipment. Are they really that much more expensive to manufacture?

A) it probably cost more to buy the radio from Becker than source the current radio from Alpine
B) they want to sell more overpriced CD changers
C) the Audio 10 is not made for the U.S. market, it doesn't have the correct AM tuner and doesn't have marine weather band
D) the Audio 10 doesn't have a 10 key pad for the built in phone system
E) the Audio 10 may not interface well with their Sirius tuner they want to sell for $800 some day
F) old people they cater to don't know what a CD is

Noble, does the Audio 10 still work with the steering wheel control, in dash display, and glove box mounted cd player?
