C160 door actuator removal/refit
Hi All.
Apologies if this has been covered before. Had an issue with the drivers side door not locking and broken speaker cover so decided to take the door panel apart (easy enough). Removed the bottom speaker and 3x torx retaining bolts for the door lock. After messing around for what must have been about an hour the actuator didn't seem to free itself sufficiently to be able to remove so gave up on that idea however trying to put the actuator back into position is causing another headache - pushing the external door handle out. I see how the actuator is supposed to go I think (metal pull bar behind plastic connector flap which is connected to the external door hand) however after another 2 hours of trying, this doesn't want to play ball.
Anyone have any practical experience of changing an actuator on this model? If so any tips great fully received.
