Hello Everyone.

Here is my issue :
1. Got windows tinted (solar Guard ) 5% at the back and the rear window and 25% on the front.
2. Everything worked for 1 day ( i mean remote )
3. RF on the remote stopped working
4. AM/FM works fine
5. IR works intermittently. I have never used it before but if i press the key 5-6 times it starts working.
6. Repalce the ket batteries and the issue still persists.

Any suggestions? I read on the forums that the antenna adapter could be the problem but wont AM stop working if that was the issue?

Is there a separate antenna for remote?

Key works fine... I tried my replacement key which had the same issue.
After unlock the car works fine...any other ideas?

any help guys? does anyone even know how to get to the antenna amplifier in my model?
also what kind of security electronics are in the door can be damaged or in the rear windshield that can be damaged?

I would say your tint guy fried or cut something (very common)
Search on here and you will find tons of people who had this issue.

But you say it worked for a day?

SO... after 2.5 weeks, all is ok.
Magically the key started to work. The only explanation i can think of is that there was probably some kind of short caused by moisture or water and it just toook time to vapourize in this texas heat.

But that must have been a lot of water.... it was wayy to hot here for the past couple of weeks....

Sorry but the key started acting again.... Not working on both keys... IR still works.

I have no clue whats happening. Any suggestions..?

I checked fuse 7,8,9,10

Seem fine to me.... Any help is appreciated
