Hello, I was wondering if there was any free/cheap software for Mercedes cars? For laptops for example, so I would only need the USB-OBD II cable..
To play around with settings etc.. Like delete canbus bulb-check for certain lights, program cars behavior and so on.. (if possible).

I already have the iCarsoft i980 to read/delete codes. But I can't do much more than that, and in my opinion it's very buggy, and I'm having problems updating the unit.


Also, does anyone know what tools/software that are required to tune the ECU/ chip software? (for performance). Or isn't there any point of getting this because of the price?

You can find a knock off star system on the interwebs between $350-1000 last time I looked with quality ranging from crap to very good (don't ask I don't know where to find them anymore)
I can't recommend any other software as you already have carsoft which I have heard okay things about but sadly with a MB you have to go big or go home.

What about tuning softwares? What do I have to look at then, and what would the price be at?

 

You want software to tune your car? Can't say I know of any software or whatever hardware you would need.
