EXPERTS ONLY!!! Suspension Problems!
I recently had a very heavy audio system installed in the trunk of my 02 C230K Coupe...the result is that the rear of my car is dropped down significantly lower than the front end.
I was told that the best solution to my problem would be to buy Vogtland Audio Springs, which create a 30mm overall drop in the car (taking into account 100 lbs of extra rear weight), and to then get #4 Spring Pads as well (i guess to raise the rear up more)...
does this sound like the best way to go? are the #4 pads needed?
Please help me out here!!! Thanks!!!

yeah...i know the best solution is coilovers...i was just trying to save some $$...but i guess that would be the best way to go.
Can anyone recommend a second best way

I'm trying not to spend $1300 if I dont have to...but if thats the only way to go then i will.

what about my shocks? should I replace them too (since i'm replacing the springs)? is it a big deal not to?

On the fronts the shocks come out anyway, so it's a perfect time to replace them.
Vogtland makes good stuff. They were on the #8 car, winning in last week's Daytona (and about 95% of the field).

Up to you.
But you'll be close to coilover territory by the time you get through.
I figger'd wear the stock ones out, and put that money elsewhere until they do.
I'm at 33K miles, and still on stock shocks.
They're not as good as when new, but adequate for now.
I'll be looking forward to new ones in the future.
But Koni's are like $650! Haven't gotten pricing on oh, say Bilstein's yet.
