C220 - Throttle body and Intake Manifold Problem WIP
A couple of months ago my car started to go into limp mode, no messages on the cluster panel, no trouble codes on any reader I have, besides glow plug problem.
Took the Intake manifold out. Cleaned it and removed the swirl flaps.
As for the throttle body, i noticed it wasn't working alright also but decided to install it again, holding it with just 1 bolt for possible removal from underneath.
Cyl 1 and 4 swirl flaps are completely ruined.
Repaired Intake manifold.
After complete reassemble, noticed a pressure leak from injector n2.
No special tools required, with engine running and hot, unscrewed the injector holding bolt, 1 milliliter at a time. Shutdown the engine and the injector came out like a charm. Also changed all glow plugs.
Engine working much better, but I still need to change the throttle body or try to fix it, with Electronic Power Control error now appearing from time to time.
Also, the Glow plug cluster panel light still stays on after the car is turned on, although all 4 glow plugs have been changed.
Any ideas on how to fix the throttle body and what might cause the glow plug light (may I need to clean the error with STAR?).
Cheers
