Smile Lots of questions! Any information is useful thanks!

(2002 C320 sedan 109,000 miles automatic) Hello when I turn on my car I hear a strong rattle coming from the middle of the car. Only on start up and when I rev in park other than that the sound does not occur during driving. I am thinking I need to replace a busted cat but I am not sure.

When I drive sometimes I feel and see on the dash the engine getting stuck on about 4000-5000 rpm for a good amount of time and takes a little to come down to lower rpm when I have my foot off the gas. When it gets stuck it feels like the car is having a hard time moving. Is this normal? Has anyone ever experienced this?

Not sure if this is weather caused but sometimes when I go out at night and turn on my car it has a problem starting up. The lights flicker, it slowly turns on and at time I have to turn the key 2-3 times.

Light censor problem fault?

Has anyone changed their stock grill to an aftermarket sls grill? And have any pictures?

Thanks everyone in advance!

How old's the battery?

If the cat were bad, you'd have at least one CEL for it. So I don't think that's it.

your secondary cats are bad and have come apart.
I just went through this procedure - bought the parts from my local steelership and bolted right up.

the cats come all together with the pipes and it is all bolt on. I had looked around and the local muffler shop wanted 400 to replace just the one bad cat. the steelership charged me 600 for everything but you have to leave a core deposit which brought up the total to $1100. took me about 4 hours to get everything off and on but i did it on my driveway and working on the floor is a PITA.

when replacing you can just remove the sensors from the old to the new.
My car was doing the same exact thing and about 7-10 days of driving like this, the check engine light came on.

I would stop by a local parts store and have them load test the battery. Also read about battery replacements on the early w203's as they like to blow rear sams when you do it...

As for the noise could be many things put that gopro to use and get us a sound clip.

Wow Thank you for the help! I will definitely look into that! Would you recommend replacing them with some aftermarket "High Flow" Cats? Cut corners save a couple dollars? I don't mind the extra labor time. I usually do my own work.. Not sure if you can see my pictures but I added on that muffler which was a hassle because I was dumb and bought a center inlet instead of an offset. Long story short I bought a U pipe cut it up and welded. Thank you for the help! Will waiting for your response!
