seeping oil separator - potential problems

I've searched for this info, but only came up with how to repair. I'm wondering if the separator is just seeping a little oil, how necessary is it to replace? Is ok to go awhile if it's just seeping? What might happen or what might it damage?

Thanks.

There is seeping and there is seeping. Seeping means different things to different people. If you mean seeping, than let it seep until it really starts seeping. Then when the seeping gets to a point that is really seeping---fix the seeping!!

That's funny! Kind of what I thought, but I wasn't sure if there was something else that could be damaged.

Thanks for the reply.
